Conduit Sleeve Lengths

i did have a note in my code book that a sleeve was limited to 10' but can not find where I got that from.

You are thinking of 250.132 Short Sections of Raceway, we might say a 9 ft 6" length is a short section, but 20ft lengths of EMT are available

I don't believe a cable tray is considered a raceway

A cable tray is a support system. Various wiring methods can be installed in a WW, such as AC, MC or tray cable

Perhaps 250.132 Short Sections of Raceway. We might think a short section is anything less than 10ft, but EMT is available in 20 ft sticks

Ok I found the Oregon rule that allowed sleeves it was 3’ for liquid tight, and 8’ for rigid conduit , it was in the specialty code , so now I just have find where I got the 10 foot note from I have the same note in my last 3 books so that may also be an Oregon thing.
