Me and some coworkers where talking this morning, should Tee's be installed with the covers facing down ? One said yes, it's a standard practice, the other said it didn't matter. What are your thoughts ?

Whatever way is necessary for the particular installation.

What ever works best for the wire pull, so tees down low would most often have their covers ups and tees up high would most likely have their covers down.

The reason it's a Tee, is because you need a Tee in that particular orientation. Every time I've used one, the Tee was on a surface so my choice was cover toward me or cover against the surface...

The layout of the main run, and the branch off of it for what you installed the T for in the first place, along with being able to get the cover, off pretty well determines how it's going to end up in most cases.

It is very rare for my tees to be installed on a surface.
