Well, it seems as though SQ D has another opinion than the letter writer.

Which means as much or as little as any of our opinions. Considring they are trying to sell a product I take there opinion with a grain of salt.

I am not trying to get anyone to change how they do things, I am just voicing my opinion of what 700.9(B) requires. I may be wrong.

No, it means as much as Mark Cloutier's opinion, I would be curious to see any follow up letters from the CC list, especially Jim Pauley.

IMO, considering their duplex panels and the designed use, I would think the literature accompanying these panels are a little more than an opinion.

Speaking of selling a product, what would be their reasoning for stating seperation? It would only reason that they would want us to have to buy more duct and panels than just adding dividers and buying one.

IMO sales people will look you straight in the face and tell you their product X is the best thing since sliced bread, in the next breath they will tell you their product Y is the best for you.

They do not care if they sell X or Y just that you buy it from them. I also believe that often the people writing the sales literature are not necessarily the ones that really know the product.

Bud or Bud lite? The ads will tell us both are the best.

Yes I did, and THANKS, it may not be formal, but I believe it would give some direction if there was a 'vote' on this issue by the CMP.

Take note that SQ D has a member on CMP 15 so I wouldn't bet on the letter shutting the door as far as 517 is concerned, and as I said earlier, I would be interested in Jim Pauley's (SQ D, NEMA, and TCC member) opinion of the letter writers opinion. I doubt he would shoot himself in the foot, but who knows.

Bob, I don't really listen to salesmen much but, I don't have a problem with a manufacturers literature and/or documentation.
