I'm not clear. The hub of the connector is a female thread? If so then the Ocal end (if thread and doesnt need to be cut and thread) will go onto the connector. Ramsy you mention compression fittings.

Yes, that hub is just like a standard conduit hub, but with a jacket of PVC for corrosion protection. You screw the male threads of the conduit into the female threads of the hub.

The use of a standard threadless connector would defeat the purpose of using PVC coated conduit for corrosion protection.
