Hoping to get some feedback from you EC's out there on some typical construction methods with respect to cost.

Typically with site lighting we need to consider voltage drop as a factor if long distances are ran. Say you need to run 300 ft of wire to 6 parking lot pole lights. Would you prefer cost and installation wise if:
You ran #8s for the first 100' to 2 poles, #10 for the next 50' to 1 pole, then #12's for the remaining 150' to the remaining 3 poles
Or
You ran #10s the entire 300' to all 6 poles?

Say you have an office space needing occupancy/daylight controls, would you rather:
Install 20 network enabled recessed troffers, 3 network enabled troffers with imbedded occ sensor, and Cat5 networked switches.
Or
Install 23 network enabled recessed troffers, 3 network enabled occupancy sensor, 3 power packs, and Cat5 networked switches.

Same scenario as above, would you rather install 3 bug eye fixtures for egress lighting, or purchase 3 battery backup troffers?

Thanks,
