Does the NEC apply in Switzerland?
I would summerize class 2 circuit wiring methods this way. You can use any chapter 3 wiring method. If you run them in a chapter 3 wiring method you have to follow the rules for that method.
You can also use any of the class 2 specific wiring methods that are not as exacting as chapter 3 methods.
In any case there are some separation requirements that have to be met.
Despite what some people seem to think, you can't run class 2 circuits in lamp cord. They are not completely exempt from all the rules.
If I remember correctly, you work for a manufacturer. The parts you make have to meet UL rules for the parts you are making, not the NEC.
One thing nice about class 2 circuits is that no EGC is required.
