I'm trying to convert a standard laneway postlight from 120v to a 12v low volt - using new 12v transformer and low volt wiring. There aren't a lot of options for do it yourself from scratch low volt lighting supplies. Will a 120v e12 light socket work with 12v power and bulb? I'll be re-wiring the whole light fixture and supply lines back to the new 12v transformer. I can't find any outdoor 12v specific light sockets.

Thanks for your help.
Rob
