Doesn't that table say one unit 12 kW or less you can use 8 kW for the branch circuit?

That is for the load on the service/feeder, note 4 is for branch circuit. So in your case it is nameplate rating of 50A.

Unless I'm not reading this correctly you need to differentiate between range and wall oven. The table applies to ranges according to the note #4 that you posted.

A range is a cooktop with an oven. An oven is just an oven and a cooktop is just the burners. If you wire a cooktop and an oven then you can calculate the circuit as one range. For instance an 8kw cooktop and a 7 kw oven can be calculated to be the same as 1 - 15 kw range which would be 9.2kw.
Just an oven is the nameplate..

B) Use the kW rating for the wall-mounted oven or counter-mounted cooking unit.
C) Use the kW rating of the counter-mounted cooking unit and wall-mounted oven added together and T220.55 as if it were a single range.
I mention this (using only the kW ratings) because if you look at the spec in post #1 you'll see different kW ratings but the same 50 amp rating for both voltages.

Your analysis is correct Trevor.
If you divide the kw's by the perspective voltages they both come in at 46 amps so a 50 amp is appropriate using either voltage.

Note 4 applies to the branch circuit. For a single oven or single cook top - you must use appliance rating for the branch circuit, but can use the table for demand rating to apply to a feeder or service. Now throw in a feeder that only supplies the one branch circuit....:blink:
