I wouldn't get comfortable if there is a drop in price. OPEC is supposed to cut production of oil next month

#1 scrap is $1.60# around here. Just bought 198' roll of #4 stranded bare for $121.00 today. A 1000' roll of 14-2 is currently $167.00. Per supply house" Copper prices have been falling almost daily".

Me too. It was up to $3.50# not very long ago.

Bare scrap copper was 80 CENTS today in AZ. That is down from a high of about 3 bucks a few months ago.

Insulated was 60 cents.

Telco/cat 5 was 40 cents.

Steel was 10 cents.

Copper on NYMEX has dropped at least 30%. Don't sell to your local scapper who just got his inventory slammed, Wait.

I fully expect this will impact the price of ammo soon, as the price of lead and copper have both dropped well over 50% the past year.

Same here. But I think I'm going to hedge my bet and stock up on wire. NM-B is 1/2 what it was 2 years ago. With scrap prices dropping do you think wire prices are going to keep dropping ?
