have a conveyor that has a controller maybe 1/8 hp or so and going to put double duplex plugs on the conveyor.Used a 12/4 for 3 double duplex receptacles and 12/3 for conveyor motor and another double duplex outlet. strain relief was used, controller is my disconnecting means and has 110 volt male coming out of box.powers to be are telling me its not up to code and want male and female cord connectors.conveyor is not an appliance so 400.7 does not apply?? cords go into 4s deep box, used type Seoo cords and its feeding just outlets. I am standing my ground because its up to code! article 400.9 is a perfect example!! article 400.7 b does that apply also?? any help to clear this up would be appreciated!!:D

When you say "controller is my disconnecting means", is that controller actually specified by the manufacturer as approved for use as a disconnecting means. Can it be locked out?
