Is there a code reference for allowing or not, a cord to be passed through factory openings on a residential forced air, gas-fired furnace?
The cord is plug connected for 120 volt power to a receptacle on one side of the furnace and passed through to a small pump motor used to discharge AC condensate to the sewer. By passing through the electrical and gas control enclosure and near to the fire box does the cord need a certain insulation degree rating?
Thanks

Sounds like a bad idea ... who would want to pipe the condensate back into the furnace?? These pumps fail often and water in the furnace would certainly be bad...
