Cost increase vs 6 years ago

Recently I took a look at the jobs I did back in 2018.
This year I did a couple that were almost identical in size, layout, and proximity to the shop.
They were both residential new builds .

I found on both my price was about 35%higher than it was back then.

Are others here seeing about those types of increases as well?

The last house I priced, spring of pandemic, was the most expensive of any house I had done. It was not fancy nor large. 1600 sq ft. +-.

The CPI inflation calculator shows an increase of 25% from 6 years ago. Electrical materials seem to have gone up more than many other things so I would say your number is reasonable.

14-2 ROMEX was $210/1k as panic hit . It's been $340-400 from that time. 2pole GF ITE was $85-95. Now $128. I could continue

My romex 14-2 is 90bucks a roll. Them are gray bar prices for your costs. After markup those are fine.

$308/M or $77/250' at my primary supply house this morning. HD is always very expensive on all electrical materials.
