Cost of material

Has anyone else experienced price increases in material. I bid a job and in the two weeks the cost almost doubled for material. This makes it hard to

Box store,, Could be my mistake. I was just saying it can be hard to price stuff is all. It could also be just my timing, prices change all the time anymore. When I first priced the job I checked both the supply house and Box stores and there was less then $5 difference. Monday I'm going to try call the supply house and see. I am also in NJ where everthing is priced high!

Just priced some #2 copper for a generator job, $3.99 ft! Yeah, 1/0 AL quad much cheaper!

In volatile times note on your proposal that the quote is only good for say 24 hours. Years ago our suppliers only guaranteed wire quotes to 5:00 and that was plainly stated on their quotes, we did the same.

Find a new supply house. I'm showing about half that price for #2 THHN/THWN.
