Can't figure out what CPF means. Is this a universal acronym?

I thought compact fluorescent too but the actual abbreviation for compact flourescents lights or lamps is CFL. Not sure why anyone would use those in 2026.

I'm guessing if does mean Compact Fluorescent but either the plans are very old or the designer should stop designing. Fluorescent lamps have been banner in CA since 01/01/2025.

As Infinity said why would anyone use fluorescent lamps even if they could.

I had thought compact fluorescent, but half of them are a strip light.

He’s a good engineer, I work with him a lot, I have a couple projects going with him right now, but electrical is not his strong suit. 😳 Fortunately he is open to virtually all my suggestions, and I sort of “redesign” a lot of the electrical on his plans.

Not sure why he keeps spec’ing fluorescent, I have to get those changed every time. 😂 I have an RFI going in today. I’ll keep y’all posted.
