Craigslist can also be a source of comedy.

You don't have insurance that is only good if nothing goes wrong. The insurance company may have a claim against the guy that did the work, but the HO is covered.

So y'all think that the HO will be hold harmless by the Insurance Company in knowingly employing and unlicensed installer and/or obtaining necessary operating premit for the new/modified installation? If that is the case why would the HO divulge the installer's name to the IC?

ICs typically investigate a claim that a home was burned down due to an electrical fault. They'll head right down to city hall (or these days, it's called CitiHall:D) and check for permits. "Lessee here, Joe Sixpack built that addition three years ago, but the last electrical permit pulled was when the house was built in 1986..... Now, the Fire Marshal says the cuase of the blaze was in that addition. I guess we can use Clause 147, Chapter 4, subsection 15-b that the insured agreed to when he purchased the policy and not have to pay up."

yes, indeed... it's called subrogation, and they have whole floors in
insurance office buildings in places like phoenix filled with little cubicles
with people in them.....

insurance pays the claim, and 36 hours later, you go on their list,
and the insurance company goes after you, your insurance company,
your bond, your business, your estate, and your left testicle.....

it was they that coined the phrase "No Dollar Left Behind...."
