anyone ever see one of these before? i seen them in a house i was working in last week. i believe they can be wired for either 120 or 240 maybe even both

Hey, I have a duplex one of those! It came from a friend's parents' house, in the front hallway baseboard. There are only two terminals, though, so you can't connect it for dual voltages.electricalperson said:anyone ever see one of these before? i seen them in a house i was working in last week. i believe they can be wired for either 120 or 240 maybe even both

i installed those before too. the ones we put in were 12 volts and the candle slides in with a base that covers it. i believe the company was named window candles or something like thatItsHot said:Now that you mention it these look like some recent receptacles that I saw at the supply house. Can not remember the manufacturer's name??? They were designed to be placed in the window seal and you had "candle" type plug in fixtures to be used during the holidays. This way you did not have to deal with ext. cords.
That is interesting. I've never seen anything like that before.electricalperson said:anyone ever see one of these before? i seen them in a house i was working in last week. i believe they can be wired for either 120 or 240 maybe even both

It's basically a 15a 125v 2-wire receptacle and a 15a 250v 2-wire receptacle sharing the same real estate.steelersman said:That is interesting. I've never seen anything like that before.
