CT Can

Can someone explain C/T Can to me ( why and how) and when they would be required? Thanks!

A CT is a current transformer.

Most POCO's require CT's and the can to install them in, on services over a predetermined size.
One local POCO in our area requires them on services over 600amp.
You will need to check with your POCO.

The size where a CT meter is required varies from POCO to POCO.
