240/120v 3ph 400amp service coming into ct can. Is it permitted to pull phase A and C into a 200 amp 1ph panel to be used for gen. lighting and recpt. Then pull A,B&C into separate 200amp 3ph panel for equipment?

Hello Curtis. This is perfectly fine and is actually a common installation where the service is a center grounded delta.

Hello Roger, I coud not think of why it would not be ok but when in doubt ask. The only thing that will run out of the three phase is one 5 ton a/c unit. Whatever

Don't forget that you are required to take the grounded conductor to both service disconnecting means whether or not you have a need for the grounded conductor.

Yes, I know. I was more concerned with the ungrounded conductors. But thank you for bringing the grounded conductors up.
