240/120v 3ph 400amp service coming into ct can. Is it permitted to pull phase A and C into a 200 amp 1ph panel to be used for gen. lighting and recpt. Then pull A,B&C into separate 200amp 3ph panel for equipment?

Sure. After it's metered, you can divvy it up any way that suits you best.

Hello Curtis. This is perfectly fine and is actually a common installation where the service is a center grounded delta.

Hello Roger, I coud not think of why it would not be ok but when in doubt ask. The only thing that will run out of the three phase is one 5 ton a/c unit. Whatever

Don't forget that you are required to take the grounded conductor to both service disconnecting means whether or not you have a need for the grounded conductor. :smile:

Yes, I know. I was more concerned with the ungrounded conductors. But thank you for bringing the grounded conductors up.
