I believe you are incorrect, you should check the IEEE dictionary. CT is clearly indicated to be Current Transformer.Acronyms are not universal over our industry.
What do you mean by CT?
Current Transformer
Control Transformer
Current Transducer
I have seen all of these used in switchgear.
Yep. But, I have been participating on this forum long enough to know that IEEE conventions are not regularly followed in discussions.I believe you are incorrect, you should check the IEEE dictionary. CT is clearly indicated to be Current Transformer.
When I read the thread title, I thought it was about CT rated conductors (cable tray).Yep. But, I have been participating on this forum long enough to know that IEEE conventions are not regularly followed in discussions.
My experience has been, switchgear low voltage (600V class) wiring is done using SIS conductors, including for CT secondaries.Current Transformer
So true, people still call it 120/208V or 277/480V which are troublesome.Yep. But, I have been participating on this forum long enough to know that IEEE conventions are not regularly followed in discussions.
