Cummins 20 kW Generator

All of the 20kw Onan’s I’ve put in, have 100’s. They are convertible between LP and natural gas. Usually the Generac’s are too, maybe one is air cooled, while the other is liquid cooled? And natural gas only?
My theory is that they get sent out from the factory with a one size fits all breaker based on the higher LP output.

I’d think a case could be made for using Table 310.12(A) if the generator was carrying the entire house load. Not so sure if there was load shedding involved.
If load shedding is involved, Onan does it differently, instead of a frequency driven relay in the transferswitch, they use a signal from the generator to a relay. You have a common plus a wire for each load to be shedded.

Thank you all so much! I've come to the understanding that the wire size is based off of the nameplate or the output breaker of the generator. Would any of you happen to know what size output breaker is found on a single phase LP 100 kW Kholer generator?

It’s rated for 417 amps, but the literature does not give the breaker size. Probably a 450.

Assuming a 0.8 power factor, something like 520 amps at 240 volts
