Can someone please explain to me what a current torque angle is? I have been looking at several protective relays where it refers to torque angle settings, or torque angle maasurements. I'm not exactly sure what this means and was hoping that someone could explain it to me.

A quick explanation: The angle between the current & voltage at which you want the protection relay to "look" when deciding if the overcurrent threshold has been exceeded. Used dor directional over-current....

For a fuller explanation, the AREVA NPAG text has a good description.
