Customer can “feel electricity” on shower door frame

I use to "feel the electricity" every time I worked on a job in Manhattan. But later on I figured out that tingly feeling was because of the rate it was paying

I think more investigation is needed on the water/drain rather than the door frame.

Another to consider is IT connections. I know from experience that digital coax can have a nasty bite of like 90V.

Also, a DMM usually is tuned for the 60hz range, and can totally miss critical information in other frequencies, and those frequencies can be a strong clue.

As well, I've seen appliances be a culprit, that are dumping current on the ground.
I agree. Most problems similar to what OP has that I came across ended up being stray volts between supply water and drain piping. Some wouldn't show up when simply taking measurements until you turn water on and have similar flow through drain as user has when they are experiencing the trouble. If this is an old house it could have some old metallic piping in the drain lines - nobody ever bonds those but they do have an earth reference where you water supply lines are sitting there at whatever potential is there because of voltage drop on the service neutral. Some people will feel just a half volt to two volts where others may need up to 4 or 5 volts before they notice. I can't recall what the neutral to earth voltage was on last one I resolved but the husband never complained about anything but the wife said she felt weird tingling in her lower legs and feet every time she used the shower. I ended up bonding the metal drain fitting to the mixing valve on that one and problems went away.
