Customer shocked when touching shower water controls

I had this happen also. We found out the copper water line feeding the ice maker on the fridge had rubbed against the cord. Sending voltage into the water system if you touched any handle and a drain or sink it was over 100 volts. This can be a very dangerous situation. Best of luck and this has to be fixed.

I am having trouble finding where it said that a 240 hot water heater should not be hooked up using a cord and receptical or did I dream that.

Not only is it unprofessional, but why spend the $$ on SO/SJO cord? Another recent thread on the forum dealt with a similar situation..don't discount leakage to the neutral from the POCO xmfr.

Nah, call the plumber to install plastic waterlines. :cool:

Had this happen a couple of times ended up the appliance rent to own company had the dryer cord hooked up a$$ back wards. The sad part the home owner was bathing an 18 month old baby and running the dryer at the same time. we found 55 volts on that call. Goodluck hope this helps you out
