This lady called me to check out her HVAC unit. (Breaker tripping)
Bad day to forget the digital camera!

1) Molded switch installed in main panel feeding the Air Compressor! (the "switches" that look just like a circuit breaker, used in disconnects)
2) #6/2 SE AL spliced in attic, no j.box, blue wire nuts melting, one leg was black from arcing.
3) No romex connector where the SE entered HVAC unit
4) The A leg was hooked up correctly in the disconnect while the B leg was bypassed and spliced through with another melting blue wirenut. (Terminals had been melted from arcing)
5)40 Amp breaker installed for the Air Handler with specs calling for 50 amp min.
6)The 10 gauge wire feeding the AC Comp. disconnect outside was a 10/3 NM that was buried for about 40 ft, within about 7' of an inground pool most of the way to a 3/4" pvc LB where it was spliced to some #6 SE AL, again with some blue wire nuts.
(This is the wire that had no overcurrent protection!)

Re: Danger! - Danger!

I have a camera phone and forget that I have it. I also forget that it will take 640x480 15 sec. mo videos. A lot of good that does if I forget what it can do. Who would think that your cell phome is more than just a phone.
