DC control wiring in panelboard?

Hi All,

As far as I know, it is not permissible to route low voltage control wiring within a load center panelboard (main breaker panel) in a residence. This is 12VDC control and a communication wire. I presume that would have to be kept completely outside of the panelboard but I wanted to verify that for certain with an NEC reference.

I think that's any easy question for you guys!

Depends, there are some panels with PLC control that are designed with low voltage roughted in them for control, GE A series PLC controled smart lighting panels are one of them.
