My quick look in that dryer I was talking about had just a single set of primary connections. I would assume that the DC side of the circuit had voltage regulation that limited the operating voltage to whatever from a higher whatever range... No circuit inbalance, and for that matter no connection on the neutral. On this particular unit it wasn't even nessesary to run one to it - Althought the choice of any other unit - I'd be in the do-do.
The unit came with a 3-wire style dryer cord (uninstalled)
Now can someone remind me why we put 4-wire ones on them now?
