deck oven disconnect

do I need a disconnect for an electric deck oven that has a factory installed breaker?

is hard wire acceptable or do I need disconnecting means ...I guess I am to lazy to find the old code book.:roll:

I've been kicking this around and think the answer will depend on either what the UL listing says (maybe related to amp load) and/or what the AHJ will want.

I know that years ago when I serviced these things I did plenty of hiking off to find a panel to kill them; so whatever else a breaker lock might satisfy the issue too.

Oh yeah... don't forget the ansul system issues related.

I decided to go ahead and hard wire them and see what the AHJ says later hopefully we pass

No you do not need Another diconnecting means. The breaker on the unit will suffice.
