Well that will be tough to know, just because the directions may recommend a dedicated circuit does not mean that a dedicated circuit is part of the listing. :cool:

Only if that instruction is part of the listing and only UL will know that.

Read 110.3(B) carefully, it does not say we have to follow all instructions, only instructions that are 'included in the listing and labeling'.

Personally I tend to follow the instructions as it prevents any questions in the future. :smile:
 
Are you looking for a reason to cause the fan to be placed on its own circuit, or are you looking for a reason to avoid placing the fan on its own circuit? Just curious.
 
John seems to be on the right track with the 50% and fastened in place rule. How much current do those things draw?
