Hello everyone,
My question is: Utility 3 phase Delta transformer 480 volt secondary with out a neutrel (three single transformers pole mounted). Readings inside building electrical system are Phase A to B to C all 480 volt phase to phase. Phase to ground is Phase A zero volts, Phase B & C to ground are 480 volts. All equiptment and lighting in building is functional. I found information in a electrical book that at times but not often the secondary side of a open or closed Delta transformer will have one phase connection grounded. It is one method of grounding the secondary of a Delta Bank.
Is there a problem with this system?
Are there any safety issues?
Are there any cost effective alternatives?
Hope to read you responce.
Thanks, BTE
