How would you handle fuse selection to a suction pump that only says 16 amps at 230 volts ? The book that comes with it is missing.I have a fuseable disc fed with #12.Second promplem is this thing says 115/230 but only staes the 1 amperage. The factory whip has 1 white wire ,1 black wire,1 green wire. The installer says it 230 volts.Would you hook this up on only his word as 230 ?

Re: dentists office

is this an american/european device. maybe works on both systems with a selector switch in the back.

if the installer is factory rep, why dont you trust him?

Re: dentists office

Maybe because he has totally messed up the rest of this job.And the last thing i want is to burn up a $5,000 pump.I will get the make and model in morning.Had it simply stated 230 volts 16 amps and had a blk and red wire then no promplem .Also at risk here is having a fuse blow and shutting down 7 chairs. The air compressor was easy it says max fuse or breaker 30.I want to fuse this at the max
Is no switch and no markings on motor itself just the control box

Re: dentists office

it should not be your fault if the tecs specs the wrong voltage . i would check... like you said you will, but it is his equipment.

Re: dentists office

Yes his equipment but it could be my job even if he was wrong.Think we might want this in writing ;) So far they forgot to ask for a lot of conduits that are needed for some extra features. No problem just cut the floor  They seem to be clueless on what they wanted or needed.Ask them where the book went and they say the plumber musta took it  yea right
