Hey guys need some input.Ran into a situation on a job another electrican in our company installed. He ran 12 current carrying conductors in a 1 inch conduit to supply computer equipment that only pulled 2 amps on each circut. The Inspector said according to the derating in tabel 310.15b2a you can only run 9 # 12 conductors per pipe if you plan to install on 20 amp breakers. 30 amps for # 12 times 70% per table 310-16. Now I know this rule gets broke all the time when there is min. load. What do You all think? Mike P. JW Wireman
