Say i have (wye) (2) 20a circuits in (1) 20ft section emt. Adustment factor d310.15(b)(3)(a) does not apply because I have just 3 ccc's. black, red, white

Now scenario 2 I decided to split each 20a circuit into 4 switched circuits with with same 20a supply each set of 4.

Now I have 4 black, 4 red, 1 white in the emt (plus green of course). They will each terminate to edisons.

Do i now have 9 ccs in this conduit? Or do I use the 3 ccc number because the switch legs are powered by just the 2 20a circuits.

Thanks

You have to count the switch legs, even though it does not make any sense, as splitting the load between more conductors reduces the heat in the raceway as the heat is an I²R function in each conductor.
