I am looking into adding power to my detached metal building. This is at a cabin, and I only want to do this to add lights and use a battery charger for tools. I have an external panel box on my cabin that is within 50' of the detached building. I would like to run a single 20amp circuit to the building. I know a disconnect is required and I believe the breaker at my panel will meet this requirement because it is in sight and within 50'. Am I understanding the 2026 NEC correctly?
