The listing doesn't really have anything to do with this...it is just physics. A given amount of copper, no matter what type of cable it is, will carry x amount of current with x amount of temperature rise. That doesn't change when you put it in an NEC application, what changes is the NEC has limits on the permitted temperature rise.... Glad this cable isn't NEC listed, otherwise....
