Did 1986 Code allow built-in microwave on one of the 2 GFCI circuits?

My home built in '97 has an outdoor on the sabc. I'm not sure which code cycle we were on at the time.

Just looked, both below send you to 210-52(b)

1993 outdoor receptacle exception still exists.

1996 exception for outdoor outlets is not there.

I for some reason don't have a 1990 NEC, guessing the execption for outdoor receptacles is there but don't know if you got sent to 210-52(b) or not, lack of indication that something changed should mean 1990 was the same as 1993.

Since we're still on the '08 now, I doubt the '96 was adopted when my house was built. So likely it was per code.

How long have you been on 2008? do they skip over some editions when they do update to a newer code?

Not sure. When I was still working, our products shipped all over the country so we always kept up with the latest edition. The only time I get involved with something local that would cause me to know what we're on is for a personal project. The last time was 2013 when my daughter had a home built. The EC told me we were still on the 08 then. I have seen recently built houses with AFCIs only on bedrooms, so definitely not on 14 yet.
