We had a emergency service call to check a building for lose of power. Arrived To find the GFP indicating an operation, we went up the riser shutting FSS's off when we got to the penthouse we found a damaged Allen wrench on the floor, elevator disconnect door open and flash/burn evidence.

We assume the elevator man was tightening up the conductor terminations and made a BOO BOO. Tripping the GFP in the process, he left without telling anybody. We isolated the FSS and meggered and restored power.

Never did here what happened to the tech.

Hope he is okay and not in a burn center somewhere.
