Digging Price

Do you guys have any good way of estimating digging, I live in central Florida. Sometimes the digging is easy sometimes it can be hard. We do not have clay here or any kind of soil you might have to use explosives. For example a 100' trench 20" deep? I do have the electrical estimator I use sometimes to give me a ball park. I was just wondering if some of you guys do it like $10.00 a foot or something like that.

Avge price by me is 5$ foot I try to get 300day for machine and 300 for operator. Glacial dumping ground digging by others north shore digging by me south shore.

Guy by me trenched through a 1000 gal underground oil tank fiberglass tank 48" blade in fully down right through the middle of the tank. Glad it wasnt me but I check first allways. Markout always and find all oil/gas tanks BEFORE you dig. Environmentally sensitive freshwater estuary $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Dont take the chance.

That to me is a prime example of why subbing it out is a good plan. Make sure the person you sub it out to is properly certified and insured.
