Dike

I have an different question one of my customers has a dike in the back of his building , he would like power to a feild for a training post.
The question is can I run under ground or do I have to go overhead ? Allteration of the dike for code reasons is my concearn.

Nothing in the NEC addresses this situation. I would suggest you consult with the person(s) responsible for the construction of the dike.

Could you bore under it ? That might be an alternative.

Is it a dike or a weir?
In Central FLorida it's next to impossible to do any development in a wetland, anything. If its an earthen Dike I would think disturbing the clay underlayment would result in a catastraphic failure which would expose your wire and result in a code violation. I would think that by then exposed wires would not be what the mob of lawyers would be looking toward you for.
