You could try replacing the lamps with dimming cfl's. That will cut the dimmer heat, and the electrical bill also. And the best part is you will be able to upsell them on this item, based on the abundant press hawking global warming, energy conservation, and using cfl's as lamp replacements. I upsell this all the time now, even though I don't think the "global warming" has anything to do with humankind in the least little bit, even if it is actually getting warmer.
