dimming fluorescents

I need to dim two t8 4 foot fluorescent bulbs in a strip light mounted to a suspended ceiling T bar. I have never done this, whats needed? thanks

Or a regular ballast and a hidden 100 watt incandescent on the same circuit. Ugly, but it works.
