dining room recepts

Just got a quick question that I need to clarify. The 2 20a sa recepts that serve countertops are required to be gfci protected. If I pull a seperate circuit to my dining room this circuit does not need to be gfci protected. Is this correct?

Yup, only the rec's serving the counter top(s) needs GFCI protection.

They do not need gfci protection but sometimes it is easier just to put them on the gfci circuit,depends upon lay out ;)
