I don';t have room to mount the AC disconnects at the proper height. I've heard a handle on the switch will allow you to place them higher. Anyone got any ideas or some references. I'm Mounting 2X 200A non-fused disconnects about 9 feet high

The handle of the disconnect should be at 6'7" in the on position 404.8
In some cases the disconnect is permitted to be accessible and within sight to equipment which could be more higher than that

It might be necessary to build a rack with strut or what have you since there is no room for proper height mounting.

Shouldn't those be LR's and LL's and not LB's? Is this residential? 2020 NEC?

Looks like a PV and/or battery system, I would bet the disconnects are much larger than needed too.

I was wondering that. Neat job. Large disconnects, small conduit. Maybe a supply shortage on smaller disconnects.

As long as the conductors comply with what's stamped inside of the conduit body LB's are code compliant. LL's and LR's would be more aesthetically pleasing. Unless this is under the 2008 NEC there are a large number of straps missing.

And easier to pull wires through. Not sure about the OP's question referring to AC disconnects. There are two old ones on the left.

Yes - this is a PV system with a battery feed in. The utility company requires isolation disconnects on both sides of the meter - then because we are connecting to the load side of an 800 amp service we have fused disconnects.....but the utility company will not put their locks on fused disconnects. Sooooo since we sre dealing with 2x PV systems (the main and the battery) each making 150+ amps we had to put these huge 200 amp discos in, on each side of the meters then fused to the main service panel

Can anyone explain what we're looking at in this photo? View attachment 2562800

What is going on with top right and middle right disconnects? Looks like disconnect feeding a disconnect.
Middle right is a fused disconnect (next step is connecting to the SES - load side, direct to the bus work) The utility company will not put their lock on a fused disconect. Plus the top disco is at the output of a meter they want isolated(able)

Very neat job. And expensive!
