You said your system has a main circuit breaker and a disconnect. Is the disconnect upstream of the breaker?
The disconnect might have a label that says it must be protected by a 30A OCPD. If it has such a label and it is upstream of your main breaker, that could be a problem. But it isn't a 110.10 problem.
