Disconnecting means for packaged equipment

We have an 480V air compressor - packaged equipment-with no local disconnecting means but there’s a lockable disconnect switch upstream approximately 200 feet away, out of sight of the skid—as I recall this is sufficient and a local disc is not required… comments

Right, but the controller is on the skid. So the motor is within sight of the controller

Yes it does, it’s also lockable at the remote location disconnect
