There is a shortcut to calculating the short circuit current also discussed elsewhere in the forum. The formula readily does not come to my mind...........

Ok. Take a resistance and apply it at the load point. Let the current drawn by the resistance be I and change in voltage at the load point be dV. Let the supply end voltage be V. Then short circuit current=(V*I)/dV.
