Has this ever happened to any of you before? This morning, I was at home and received a call from someone a few miles away who needed a light fixture changed out because they were redecorating a room. I didn't even turn the power off because the wall switch was turned off, and I checked to make sure no power at the fixture. So I went right over there, changed it out, and thought I was done for the day. That is, until they asked me to change the 40-year old dimmer with a standard toggle switch. So then I went down the basement to turn off the breaker and discovered they have a Zinsco panel. After I installed the new switch, I explained to the customer that the Zinsco panel is a known fire hazard, and that the company factory burned down decades ago due to their own faulty equipment. I had him look it up on Google so he would know what I'm talking about. So I gave him a quote on a new service upgrade. An hour later he called me back and told me he wanted to do the upgrade!

I’ve had the same with FPE, doing a remodel for a lawyer, and she thought I was trying to upsell her. She looked it up that night, and called back the next day with “Do it”.
