Has anyone seen a household dishwaser requiring a 20A circuit? The largest one I have come across is an LG with a 12A namplate current.

In have yet to see one. But when in doubt we just run #12 wire to cover all contingencies.

I hooked one up recently that required 3 circuits. One for the pre-heater, one for the internal heater, and one for the motor. All 480 volt, 3 phase.

I always run #12, this way any residential model they pick out now or in the future should be satisfied. I would hate to have to rerun the circuit.

I will run either a separate 15a circuit for each the dishwasher and disposer, or a single 20a circuit for both.

I recently ran a single 20a for two disposers and a dishwasher in a kitchen remodel.

Nope brand name is Tina, got her used at 15 years old and never regreted it one minute.Do you get to hug your dw every night ? If its electric hope it gfci protected. And yes it has produced a few other dish washers. of lower quality.Got mine from the hills of KY off a tabaco farm, keeping her too.

I have never seen a 3 phase single dwelling service. Maybe I have just not been in any mansions. 50 amp dishwasher?????
