Hi everyone!
I have a high voltage (15KV) cable on a cable tray and I would like I would like to run another another cable with low voltage(400volts) cables 10cm on top of the high voltage cable tray.Would the 15 kv voltage cable cause any disturbance on the low voltage cable? Also I am planning to install a 2000KVA Stabiliser 10cm on the top of the 15 KV 3 phase cables. Would that also be a problem for the stabiliser? Please help. Thanks,

The separation is dependent on the insulation class of the cable. I am assuming you are talking non-USA work since you mention 400V, which most likely means your cable has an insualtion rated for 1000V.

The separation between voltage classes would need to be by a rated for intended use barrier.

Check you IEE Wiring Regulations (BS standard?) don't recall number off the top of my head, that is for IEC applications.

Working from memory here but I believe the code says you can mix voltages if a barrier(divider) is used in the tray.

If you are working under IEEE guidelines as well there is an extensive blurb on this subject with cable separation by "Voltage & Current" limitations and then there is always client standards & general specification's.

Study Hall tonight:D
