Distribution Air-gap Switches

When installing pole mounted distribution air-gap switch (35kV) do you provide fused cutouts on line side or load side of switch, or does it matter?Thanks

Switch on line side allows fuse replacement with circuit de-energized. That should also provide easier hot stick access to the cutout.
