I have a power supply for DL LEDs that went toes up. Local supply house wants $85. Retired old guy markup, I’m sure but I can’t seem to find them at all online. Suggestions as to where?

I haven't measured the actual load. I'd have to put my shoes on and go get a meter.

That's not a ballast. That's a power block with a very common voltage. Dig the bins at Goodwill and you'll most likely find an adequate one.
Cut the cord off with about a foot left and bring it into the store to match ends.

Looks like any 12 VDC supply should work that can supply the amps needed by the load including a battery.

I replaced the one, with two smaller that had multiple tips and polarity choice.
As with any cheap alternatives, there were issues. Time wise, I would have been ahead to spend the $85.
